Evidence in Advance Submission Portal

Welcome to the HM Inspectorate of Probation portal. This is the place where you can securely submit the evidence you want us to consider in advance of the inspection fieldwork weeks. This provides you with the opportunity to set out a summary of key issues we need to be aware of and projects/activities that you have undertaken against each key question in domain one of our standards. Using this portal you will also be able to submit up to 5 pieces of evidence for each key question.

Evidence submitted should be current (produced in, or referring to the previous 12 months), except for long-term strategy documents, and should include only those documents produced or modified since our last inspection. We are looking for the best relevant evidence, not all the available evidence that you have.

Our focus is to understand the impact of organisational policy and guidance, any significant organisational changes that have taken place and actions taken to address recommendations both from previous inspections and from relevant thematic inspection recommendations.

Step 1 Sign in using the credentials provided

Using the credentials assigned to you please sign into the portal to be able to view your Inspection, Evidence in advance Interview and its associated questions.

On signing in you will have access to your organisation(s) inspections.

Step 2 View and select the required inspection in your 'my active inspections' section

You can do this by selecting the drop down arrow to the right of the organisations primary contact field.

This will show a summary of the inspection and any associated evidenced in advance Interviews that need completing.

Step 3 Select Evidence in Advance to access the EIA questions or to view the schedule of interviews set up for your inspection.

If the calendar is empty of meetings, this may be because planning for the inspection has not yet started

As you get closer to the inspection date the meetings agreed for your organisation will be included in this calendar.

Step 4 Add responses and attach supporting documentation

You do not need to enter all the responses to the EIA questions in one session. Instead you can do this over multiple sessions as you require.

The HMIP Lead Inspector will not have access to the EIA until you have completed all sections and pressed submit.
